Our Farm will be open to everyone and you can freely visit every corner of our kingdom to see how Pecorino di Pienza cheese is made: Let’s Make Cheese!

 

At Podere Il Casale – Pienza, during a cheesemakers lunch in our restaurant cheesemaker Ulisse will tell you more about the secrets of the cheeses used throughout the menu.

Afterwards he will guide you through the processing stages of Pecorino cheese during a visit of the dairy, afterwards you will experience the  milking in our stables and continue to a live demonstration of the production of a first salt pecorino cheese.

A truly unique experience for all cheese lovers, gourmets and nature lovers. Our event is also suitable for children, who will be happy to see our animals and the magic of cheese production.

13:00: 4-course lunch with the cheesemaker (reservation highly recommended!)

15:00 Guided tour in the dairy

16:00 Milking in the stables

17:00 Live Cheesemaking demonstration
