Quark and Pear Pie
Here is the recipe for quark cheese and pear cake. The Quark is a fresh soft cheese, typical of Central Europe and much used in cooking for its versatility. INGREDIENTS FOR THE QUARK AND PEAR CAKE
- 350 g shortcrust pastry
- 500 g Quark Cheese
- 400 g pear
- 140 g sugar
- 30 g flour
- 2 eggs
- 200 ml milk
RECIPE OF THE QUARK CHEESE AND PEAR CAKE
We begin to prepare the recipe. First grease a cake tin with removable rim. Roll out the pastry and give them a thickness of about one centimeter. At this point upholster the pan with the pastry and prick the bottom with a fork. Store in refrigerator and let stand.
Take the eggs and separate the yolks from the whites. Mix in a bowl the egg yolks with quark, then add sugar (leave aside two tablespoons), milk, flour and finally a pinch of salt.
Now whisk the egg whites. Add sugar left aside earlier and continue beating. When the egg whites will become lucid add them to the mixture of quarks stirring gently from bottom to top.
Peel the pears and cut into cubes or thin slices, whichever you prefer. Take your pan from the refrigerator and pour a portion of the quark cream in the bottom. Sprinkle with pears and cover with the remaining cream.
Now we just need to bake. Cook in the lower part of the oven for about 45 minutes at 180 °. Before serving your cake quark cheese and pears let cool completely.
